I found the shriveled body of this lizard in the sand at the campsite near Uluru. The lizard almost blended in completely with the sand and at first I only thought it was a piece of eucalyptus bark.
When I saw what it was, I picked it up with a stick to get a better shot of it. Holding its body away from the sand made it more visible.
I was happy to find that it was mostly intact, especially with its little spine running in curves down its back. |

Great dried-up lizard.
I would prefer to see it on the sand...like you mentioned in the note so we can see how it was camouflaged. However, as long as the photo is labeled 'humorous' I wholeheartedly support this form.
