[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was another image I took when out walking yesterday morning. I have never actually seen a white Callistemon (often referred to as Bottlebrushes) before. It is appropriat to show this one at the moment because we have Anzac Day approaching on the 25th April.

Callistemon citrinus 'White Anzac'

(Syn: Callistemon 'Moonbeam')
ORIGIN: Callistemon 'White Anzac' is a form of Callistemon citrinus collected from a wild population on Anzac Cove, NSW. The cultivar was first received by the Authority in February 1981.

DESCRIPTION: This cultivar is a sprawling shrub to 1m tall by 3m across. The leaves are about 6cm long by 1cm wide and are lanceolate in shape. The flowers are a pure white, often in inflorescence clusters of three, aging to a creamy white. The inflorescences are from 10 to 15cm long by 6cm in diameter. The flowering season is from November to January, (yet this one is in flower at the moment).

DIAGNOSIS: C. citrinus varies markedly both in size and flower colour in natural populations. Callistemon 'White Anzac' can be distinguished by its low sprawling habit and white flowers.

Hi Debbie,
Nice species, a new for me. We have one callistemons with red flowers cultivated in parks (of course is imported from Australia)and call them "tubecleaners".
Very good exposure, avoid over exposure of the white flowers.
regards
Hernán

There is a red bottle brush tree in the western US but I have not seen a white one. This is a nice shot Debbie. It is so well exposed with nice lighting. depth of focus is perfect.

Luckily for the birds with the honeybeaks there are these flowers in OZ!
I have had the priviledge to visit your country, as my daughter moved to WA; she had one of these in her backyard... I was there in the local Spring. It was unsurpased! The wildflowers were superb!

AND I have a souvenir ... ;)

Tfs, Jay

PS Nice PoV , but especially good use of the light and light against dark. Excellent motive for ANZAC day!
