[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This image was taken a while back when I went for a walk through the Wittunga conservation park at Blackwood, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. I think I have identified the fungi correctly but I am not at all certain.

Cortinarius cinnamoneus
Hat: hemispherical then bell-shaped, sometimes mamelonné, smooth and matt surface with radial fibrillae brown reddish.

Blades: orange sharp, adnées.
Foot: cylindrical, rigid; surface yellow pale then dark, covered with brown longitudinal fibrillae.
Flesh: thin, yellow pale, light odor raphanoïde and not very pleasant savour.
Sporée: yellow, spores ellipsoidal.

Habitat.
Gregarious in the forests of conifers, in mountain, on acid ground, in summer and autumn.

Toxicity.
A priori toxic by presence of orellanine.

Cheers,
Debbie

Hi Debbie, an excellent shot of these mushrooms with very good detail captured on them. Your low position has even allowed some visibility of the gills. Very nicely done.

Thanks, John

Hello Debbie,
It is a pleasure for me to admire your mushroom. The quality of the shot is good. Great sharpness and exposure. Here in France the season starts early because of the crazy rainy weather (good for fungi but bad for summer vacations).
Congratulations and TFS,
Christian

Hello Debbie,
Lovely textures in the mushrooms!
Good colours and fine details, well composed presentation...
Sometimes I have to remind myself you have autumn down there!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Debbie,

Nice picture, natural looking. This one is quite frequent in Eastern Europe too. Funny thing how most toxic fungi species grows worldwide.

Cheers, Petru

Hello Debbie!
It's strange that you have got mushrooms during your winter time. Your capture of these is so beautiful in its simplicity.
Greetings from hot SE Europe!
