Painted Redgum
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| A gnarly old Redgum stands defiantly on the plains along the western edge of the Flinders Ranges. The Flinders Ranges, 380 km north of Adelaide, began forming 800 million years ago due to upward movements in the Earth's crust. It's couloured canyons, wildlife and history make the area a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts ( and photographers!). |

bravo encore

Wow, this image is gorgeous!
The colours here are fantastic, rich, sharp and vivid. The hazy background really makes the old tree stand out nicely and the tree is very artistic looking. There must be a lot of iron in the soil and rocks to make them so red. This is a beautiful image.

Hello Steve and Ioana, this is a very colourful shot of this redgum and you've composed it well against this blue and red background. The mountains and sky are both great and help set this tree off. It's hard to tell if there is a mist in the air, I think this one might be just a tad sharper. Great job though.
Thanks, John
G'day Steve
Your capture has a little eary feeling about it, maybe its because its so desselate and added the ruins. Nice shot.
