What have we here? I think this is a lichen I photographed on a trip in the Stirling Ranges, in the SW corner of WA. Wikipedia suggests the whitish, branch-shaped lichen is 'usnea australis', I have no idea of the genus of the blue one.
Not as sharp and clear as would have liked: from a transparency scan, with post processing to remove noise, etc. |

Looks just like coral!!
For a scan its not bad although try to use an unsharpmask could help in either photo shop or paint shop pro.
