The same sea eagle as before only the EAGLE has landed.
And now you can see how big the nest is.
The nest is on a steel post about 20mtr high on the site of a carpark nex to the Town beach in Broome. |

Hello Frans
Wow... exceptional capture. Timing was spot on. Light was obviously a wee bit of an issue, but it is crisp and clear. Well done. Thanks.
Frans - a dramatic shot, nicely timed, which might have been improved by shooting with the light rather than against it, as some shadow detail has been lost and the "catchlight" in the birds' eyes are missing. However, if you couldn't move around the nest platform (or shoot at a different time of day) then you've made the best of what's available! Personally, I would have cropped a bit tighter and got rid of the man-made platform altogether (see workshop crop).
BTW, these are Ospreys (Pandion haliaetus), which are unrelated to the Sea Eagles - of which the Australian representative is the White-bellied Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) However, throughout their massive geographical range they are often erroneously called sea eagles or fish eagles.
