Tropical storm brewing....
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This cloud build-up over the Indian Ocean intensified into a grand thunderstorm, complete with a well-defined waterspout at its base. This shot was taken from the beach at Bill's Bay, part of the Coral Bay area and the Ningaloo Marine Park, 1,100 kilometres to the north of Perth and close to the Tropic of Capricorn. The darker patches of water, just a few hundred metres from the waterline, are the stands of coral, which attract so many to this idyllic snorkelling spot.

Hi Jeff,
A wonderful photo of a stunning storm front. I really like the dark blue sky on one side of the front and the brightness of the otherside. The difference between the tropical colored ocean and the storm is wonderful. I do think that the noise reduction did make you loose some of the details in the cloud formation.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Jeff,
Nice moody landscape. You've simplified the image nicely and provide excellent context to the storm passing out to see. Technically well handled with your camera work.
Cheers
Paul
