| The Echidna is one of those egg laying mamals that are unique and endemic to Australia. He was strolling along Turquoise Bay in Cape Range NP and hunting ants and termites for dinner. I felt a bit sorry, that the camera flashed into his pretty face but he didn't seem to worry about it and continued digging with his long nose only seconds after the flash. |

A striking animal, Thomas. THe flash does tend to add uninteresting light to things, bu how else to capture this night animal? I like the sharp clarity of this photo and the composition with the animal just out of center.
