This is a shot of a kookaburra on the tree branch captured at UWA Claremont campus. I like this shot because it was on an interesting branch as well.

I think the Kookaburra is one of the most photogenic birds in the world and I love it's name. I have seen many pictures of this bird, but never in the wild. This is a nice shot and as you write, the branch is lovely. I do think the bird is underexposed and I would have loved to see a catchlight in the eye. Anyway, this is a very good first post. Welcome to TN and keep on posting. Merry x-mas!
