A lone everlasting, so called by the early settlers because they kept for years as dried flowers. This one is about 1cm across and grows in the Jarrah/gravel country in the hills around Perth.

I recall these beautiful flowers being in the ditches along the highway I had to cross to get to Woodmans Point!
