| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| A magnificent parasitic tree, the largest in the world,( it grows to around 25 feet ) pictured in full bloom in mid summer (December) hence the common name, as it flowers in a dead landscape just before Christmas. Be careful as you approach this species as it is one of the few sources of nectar at this time of year and hosts literally thousands of bees, wasps and ants the air echoing their buzzing giving ample warning. |

Hi Peter
Interesting notes!
Your tree is well captured showing it's colourful orange blossoms. The area does look hot by the golden colour of the grass. Nicely composed with the entire tree against the blue sky.

Hi Peter,
What a beauty !
Your note reminds me of the fact that extreme beauties could be dangerous too !
You have captured this beautiful tree in its full grandeur.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
