[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Western Rosella, Platycercus icterotis is the smallest species of rosella and is found in the South West of Australia in Eucalypt forests and timbered areas.
This one was very familiar and playing with visitors around the Gloucester Tree site in Pemberton.

Hi Eric,

Nice capture of this beautiful Western Rosella, its looks like its a bit tame and used to being around humans, the colours are well saturated, really good eye contact, I might have got down on one knee just to lower the angle of view a bit but other then that really well captured, t.f.s

Cheers Rick :)

Hi Eric, this bird sure is a very colourful and attractive species with the colurs of the rainbow. The photo is fine as it is but could be improved by a simple crop to clear out the unneeded background to bring out more of the bird's beauty and details.I have done a workshop to illustrate what I mean and the workshop makes it look like it is not walking out of the photo as much.I hope you like the difference.A fine photo none the less and thank you for this colourful chappie. Hello Eric,
A nice capture of this colourful species of Rosella, the colours showing up well against the tarmac.
I agree with Rick, I would have tried to get a lower POV and to have more space infront of the bird to improve the composition.
Thanks for sharing this one of a species that might be new for TN.
Cheers,
Ivan
