I can not recall ever seeing a bird such as this so it is a welcome introduction. The bars and stripes on its breast is very nice. The out of focus background made the bird stand out nicely on the photo and that yellow eye is very beautiful.

I like so much your POV and the beautiful contrast made with the greens at the background.
Perhaps the backlight on the head don't let you got even more details on that feathers.

Hi Jon, this is a strange bird - I have never seen one before. It looks like it has attractive patterns.
But with your camera and lens I would expect your photo to be a lot sharper. And the top of the head and shoulders are quite over-exposed. I am surprised that no one has picked that up.
You have many birds in your gallery - I wish I could see and capture them.

Lovely lighting and colours.The array of greens is beautiful.
