Beautiful bird image Chris.
Very good compo with lots of space left at the right side.
Perfect exposure with all details, even in the lighter parts, of the feathers crearly visible.
Altough, like you already mentioned, the BG is a bit busy, the heron does stand out wonderfully agianst it.

Great capture Chris,
Detail and colour are good.
It looks a bit centred,but then so do many of mine.
Besides,I don't see how you could have cropped it better with those big branches in the foreground.

Hi Chris, this is an awesome shot of this Heron, and I think your choice of depth of field showing that background is great too. This is where they live, and you show it well here. I've seen these guys (and their cousins) in the trees but haven't been able to get a shot near worth showing. This guy is very sharp with very excellent detail and colour. You've gotta be thrilled with this one.

Hi Chris,
A magnificent capture of this night heron!
I like so much the vivid blue tone got on the skin around the bird's eye, and all the sharp details got on their plumage.
I think you had made a great composition with this capture of the bird in its natural environment, with the busy foliage as the background.

Hello Chris,
The colors on this heron are so beautiful and natural looking. Your exposure was perfect. The details aroound the eye and in the feathers are stunning. I like the woody natural environment but would like to see just a little more at top where I think it is cropped too closely. Outstanding post!
