[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Galah can be easily identified by its rose-pink head, neck and underparts, with paler pink crown, and grey back, wings and undertail.

Birds from the west of Australia have comparatively paler plumage. Galahs have a bouncing acrobatic flight, but spend much of the day sheltering from heat in the foliage of trees and shrubs. Huge noisy flocks of birds congregate and roost together at night.

Hi Rick nice sharp shot of the Galah in a striking pose. The composition colour and detail is good; with the direct sunlight from the front it might be just a tad dark on it's back and under the body. Very nice eye contact, and the background is excellent; very tropical.

Thanks, John

Hi Rick,
Excellent capture of the Galah, such a pretty bird! I like its profile in the fine light, all sharp and in fine colours. I also like its pose but personally I would have cropped it more on the right.
Many thanks, Ulla

Hello Rick,
A colourful fellow giving a nice pose here!
Well composed image, the bird is captured with fine details in the plumage...
I notice the bird's attention is fixed on the photographer..!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Rick,
Wonderful shot of the Galah with lovely colour tones and sharp details. The lighting and exposure is superb and you have captured a majestic pose. The BG is great and illustrates the habitat well and highlights the Galah perfectly. Excellent POV to portray it and very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.
