The Banksia is one of the most easily recognised Australian plants. These bottle-brush shaped flowers come in various colours and attract the native birds.
Banksias first became known to Europeans in 1770 when James Cook landed at Botany Bay with Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander.

PS for a change the sky came out bluer than usual. Sun sun behind me i recall.

Hello Murray

This is a beautiful flower.The focus is very good.
The lighting is wonderful with rich colours.
Very good low POV and the DOF is well done.
The corner of brilliant blue sky makes this a lovely composition.

Stunning shot of one of our native bottle-brush trees, colours are superb, excellent detail, exposure and framing all very good, and they do attract the native birds, nice work, Cheers Rick :)
