[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everyone,

today i have a pic from, well, today!! first time ever for me.. i was just checking out the shots from today, so i figured i may as well upload one.

i've been enjoying looking at lots of fantastic winter scenes from the other side of the world lately.. gorgeous snowly owls, stunning white wolves and the like..

here on this side of the world (Brisbane, Australia), we had a horribly hot day of 36 degrees C (97 degrees F)... it was hot and humid, and i dripped sweat all day.

It was a nice day to spend at the beach, and this evening, we were greeted by a fantastic sunset... not the usual sunset where the sky lights up in brilliant colors, but the kind where the sun is clear and not too bright.. i almost thought it was the moon!

I believe i'm several hours ahead of many of you.. Sunday is about to start (its midnight saturday here).. hopefully, your Saturday sunset looks as fantastic as mine did!

Hello Gethin,

You are ahead alright and I am not that far behind. I like reading your note and its boiling here too in Malaysia.

This is a very nice sunset with nicely presented in vertical format. What makes it interesting is that you have all the elements of good sunset shot. That ball of fire is just underneath the cloud giving out wonderful colors in the sky. The bird at the shoreline ( wish he is facing the other way) balances very well with the whole perspective. Great shot with well created tiers in the horizon.
