Hello Richard,

What a great colorful image.
I can imagine that a colorful scene like this can brighten up a dull day.
Very beautiful contrast, colors, details and soft light.
Excellent sharpness and exposure.
Very nice soft BG and I love the catchlight in the eye of the Lorikeet.

Richard, this is a very beautiful picture and not only because it has such array of rich colours on both the subject and the flowers but also because it is somewhat humorous in terms of the expression on the bird's face. This Lorikeet seems to be upset with the drizzle making it wet :-).
You have controlled the shot deftly despite the weather. The entire picture is sharp, colourful and well composed.

What a beautifull and cheerfull photo. Excelent colors and nice way to put them together. The falling rain drops add life to the photo. It gives you a realy nice feeling looking at.

Can't get more colorful than this! Beautiful Lorikeet in a marvelous pose on the pretty flowers. You have captured him perfectly with amazingly sharp details of his face and plummage. Every beautiful feather stands out. I love this shot!

What a colorful bird, colorful flower, and colorful image altogether. I have seen rainbow lorikeets in aviaries, but it is hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that these incredible birds fly free in nature in other parts of the world.
Gorgeous colors and excellent composition.

Hi Rick,
Even if the weather was cloudy and rainy, this is a colorful post indeed! Both the bird and flower has those wonderful colors. I like this pose you captured and good composition. I also like the effect of rain falling. The shutter speed you used was a little slow I think as I have the impression that the bird cold have been sharper; it seems to me it has moved a little. Anyway, this is a nice capture and TFS!

I don't think I've seen a wet Lorikeet before! It looks very cute and funny! Brilliant capture though with sharp focus on the Lori and the beautiful flower. The colours are fantastic and the details very sharp. Well done!

Hi Rick, the composition is excellent, with very good colour and detail, but on top of this a couple of things really stand out for me in this shot. First is the expression on the Lorikeet. I didn't think they could have expressions, but this one seems to with the partially opened beak and the raised feathers. The second thing is the rain itself. They're faint, but I count 6 streaks of falling rain, which really set the mood in the shot (along with the ruffled feathers of course). At 1/80 of a second, you've caught it perfectly.
