hi everyone,

here i have a shot of a juve Harlequin Bug (Tectocoris diophthalmus) grooming it's antennae..

found this little fella in my yard, sitting on a leaf.. after 5 mins of chasing him around the leaf taking shots that were turning out fine, but nothing exciting other than a bug on a leaf, i was about to give up and move on in search of something else...

about the same time i was about to give up, it must have concluded i wasn't going to harm it, and decided to stop the chase around the leaf.. It stood up and began to groom it's antennae for me!

i 'snapped' up the opportunity.. pun intended =)

Haha, I love those cockeyed antennae Gethin. Very nice macro of this Harlequin Bug. Your positioning for this shot is perfect. You've caught the perfect pose here for this guy. Excellent colour and very excellent detail.
