[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found these fungi growing in abundance in the rainforest of the Eungella National Park, about an hour's drive inland from Mackay in North Queensland. The bright orange colour of the dominant fungus is very eye catching and contrasts well with the lush green of the maidenhair fern growing beside it. It had recently been raining and all the plants were in optimum condition because of this.

Very cool picture. I love the different colors in these fungi. Nice composition. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Lyndall,

A very nice composition and an interesting subject, but the color saturation appears to be cranked way up, too much for my taste. I'm going by the green of the leaves on the forest floor and the color of the dead leaves on the ground, they shouldn't be as brilliant as what I'm seeing here. Perhaps a bit too much saturation adjustment in Photoshop?
