[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For "Pablo" who’s landscapes are always a pleasure to look at; My wife and I had two days off together so we decided to head off to Girraween National Park, it’s a park we’ve always wanted to visit and will certainly be going back to.

Girraween National Park is situated approximately 260Km south-west of Brisbane and takes about 3 hours to get there, so an over-night stay is a must.

The park has been enlarged over the years, Bald Rock Creek N.P was declared in 1930, it was then combined with Castle Rock N.P in 1932 totaling 1600ha.

In 1966 Napier Gunn offered the government his block of 52.4ha and the two parks amalgamated to create today’s Girraween National Park.

From 1977 to 1979 further acquisitions enlarged the park to 11,300ha, the last block acquired in 1980 enlarged Girraween National Park to its present 11,800ha.

This shot was taken after we had been driving for about an hour as we headed up over the mountain range towards Cap Creek looking back to Clayton’s Gully.

Details, Shot Raw with an 82mm Hoya Pro1 Digital Circular Pl converted to Jpeg, cropped slightly, sharpened and border added for posting.

Beautiful scene, the mountains are spectacular. Thanks for sharing, well done.

I have driven past the Girraween NP turn off sign many times, had no idea the country there was so picturesque.

Hi Richard
Nice composition with the rolling hills in the foreground and mountains in the background. I look forward to seeing your images from the Girraween.
Cheers
Sue

Hello Richard. Nice light and shadow of the valley. The undulating land is stunning against the hills. Well done and thanks for sharing. Juni
