Hi John

Lovely shot - good colour and exposure - I like the way the beaks seem to glow. Well seen and captured.

PS I am amazed you have never seen a bear in Canada! The first time I saw a bear was when I was 22 - I had gone camping with my Canadian friend on the shores of Lake Superior. We had had a few beers, had gone to sleep without clearing the remains of the barbeque and I was woken up by the sounds of the racoons pillaging the remains. Suddenly they scattered and (what seemed) an enormous snout started sniffing round the tent - eventually it moved off (so I didn't actually see it as such). I had to wait several years for my next sighting!

Nicely seen and taken I've only just realised that there are two birds their, even reading your note it didn’t click, yeah I know the old grey matter is starting to fade along with the hair, and the bank account, anyway excellent colours, love the POV, superb detail,

HI John,
This is really in step.When i saw this first, i was thinking this must be yet another shot of your earlier oystercatcher shot.And this is double whammy!The pair,looks absolutely in tandem marching their way.They look so well coordinated as if by practice.
I like the way you have added in the environment and the technical notes are quite helpful for the likes of me who have so much to learn on PP aspects.

Hallo John
A great capture, you being at the right place at the right time. This is a remarkable action shot, with excellent focus and sharpness. You have captured these two extremely well and it looks as if they where trained to march together. You handled the blacks perfectly, and I like the water droplets on the plumage. This is a photo of high quality and you can be proud of yourself with the result. Beautiful colours and good light. Thanks for sharing.

At first glance I thought this was a mid-stride pooper-scooper deal..But the color of the waste material seemed somehow skewed ;-}

The Sooty Oystercatcher is impressive. The point of view allows us to see the details and colors of the bird. The photo is clear and sharp. The light brings out the best of the colors. have a nice day.

Hi John, Your series of this big bright beaked bird is excellent. I like the contrasting colours of his eye and beak against the darker seaweed. I have not seen one of these myself as yet. TFS. Murray.
