Another brilliant close-up of a Skipper! This on is very beautiful with its large patches of 'gold' on the wings. Great sharpness and good light and colours. I like its pose on the leaf too. Very nice!

Hi Chris,
its a skipper all right in all its splendor. They hold their wings "skipper fashion" all over the world, and I wonder why they do it. It may have to do with fanning out sex attractant or with increasing visibility or whatever. This is an excellent quality portrait, by the way but you are of course an experienced hand.

Excellent image Chris,
The POV, color, detail, and soft even exposure looks outstanding..
We tend to get hung up on the DOF thing in macro.
But here everything looks so good I don't think anyone will ever notice.
I'd fix the title is all :)

Hi Chris,
that's a very attractice image: the "speedy" pose, the perfectly placed focus on head, wings in front, and the edges of leaves while the rest of the image is gradually dipped into pleasant softness. Very pleasantly soft colours in the dim light, too, with the image's most distinctive contrast at the target.
