Bird of Paradise
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Bird of Paradise flower is a spectacular blossom. Long stemmed flowers emerge from green boat-shaped bracts which are bordered in red or purple. The numerous pointed petals of brilliant orange are contrasted with an arrow-shaped tongue of vivid blue. Some species have white and blue
This was shot in Redcliffe City, along the Humpybong Creek which is home to various ducks, geese and other water birds. This flower was growing on an Island in the middle of the Lake (about 35 metres out) But thanks to my Lens, I was able to zoom in closer to it.
Havent done anything except crop this image to make it presentable. |

Steve its a beautiful shot made more so with solar illumination. There is a few hot areas "white spots" but not to distracting. Maybe again to tight on compo, the colours are stunning. I would like to see another post of this flower if possible. Well done.
