I thought I would delve back into the archives for this posting, I took this shot back in December 2007, in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens.

The Botanic Gardens of Mount Coot-tha has wonderful themed sections including a scented garden, a bamboo grove, an arid zone with a cactus garden, Japanese gardens, waterfalls, rainforest terraces and a magnificent domed greenhouse for tropical plants. And for the avid green thumbs there is a specialist garden library available where all your plant-related questions are more than welcome.

Other attractions include the planetarium at the Mt Cootha Lookout, the nearby JC Slaughter Falls, and the Freedom Wall. Whew! After all that you'll need to relax in the Curator's Cottage with a coffee!

Details, Shot Raw and converted to Jpeg, cropped and re-sized, re-sharpened for posting.

Beautiful composition you have dug out from your archives, Richard.
The two Water Lilies surrounded by big and wide leaves look very attractive. I specially like the tiny dew drops sticking to their petals.
Superb sharpness and very natural yet rich colours.
Regards.

Hallo Richard
Now this is my kind of image. PPP – Pretty perfect picture. A lovely scenery with great subjects, colours and detail. These water lilies display so well in contrast with the maroon and green leaves of this water plant. The water droplets captured on the petals is just beautiful and really add to make this an extra special posting. Some people would say: “Just another flower in some pond somewhere” and I will say: “I dream to take a photo like this. To me it is striking and beautiful and will be lovely as a big blown up photo in a place where ladies go too, to be pampered, like a beauty salon. The colours are soothing and the scene very relaxing. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards.
Anna
