Isn’t it strange some times, on the 19th of May 2007 I managed to capture a shot of a Yellow Robin up at the Lamington National Park south of Queensland.

And almost two years to the day (–) one month I finally find another one, but at Queen Mary Falls near Killarney.

We were heading down to the falls lookout though the bush when this little guy swooped down and landed on the tree branch near by.

I couldn’t believe it after nearly two of looking for one every time we went into a rain forest we finally see one, and it arrived as if to say "yeah" we still hanging around but then in a flash it disappeared again.

I guess it will be another long wait.

I pretty much mentioned everything about the Yellow Robin on the previous post so I won’t repeat myself.

Hope you like it and as always thanks for taking the time to stop by its appreciated :)

Details; Shot Raw and converted to Jpeg, Cropped and re-sized, re-sharpened slightly for posting.

Hi Richard.
Amazing shot in all respects. First of all I like impressive scene created by dry branch and elegant bird. Lights and shadows of the picture are also fine. But the most impressive for me are colourfulness and blurriness of the BG, superb sharpness and details of the bird image. Shot is looked like true 3D-image. Well done and TFS.

Hi Rick,

Excellent sharpness and detail, color too, and a really attractive little bird.

John

Hello Rick, I found the Eastern Yellow Robin to be one of the most difficult birds to photograph. They were always like a peripheral vision teaser. You've done an excellent job in getting a good close shot of this guy with perfect sharp detail. I like the pose you have him in with an excellent choice on your depth of field to isolate him from the background. Very nicely done.

Thanks, John

Hello Rick,
I'm sorry I missed this beauty earlier!
This is the best photo of a Yellow Robin that I have seen.
The lighting, pose, sharpness, BG andd POV, everything is first class. I took a shot of this species up in the north, but as mine was nothing like as good as this, this one has to be a favourite.
Thanks and cheers,
Ivan

What makes it all unique is that you remembered well and noticed the Jungian Synchonicity! VERY nice image...It looks like my old Nikon images....but a Canon is versatile..something like choosing the right club you old duffer:-)

Richard, this shot is class apart and establishes your credentials as one of the top-notch ace nature photographers on TN.
Apart from being technically at its best, there is something about this picture that makes it look different; after some thought, I attribute it to your uncanny perception of the dynamic of light which enabled you to set up your gear in such a way that it turned out to be a masterpiece.
I must congratulate you for this creation I consider one of the finest we have ever seen on this site.
Best regards,
Ram

Hello Rick,

What is appealing here is the clean non-intrusive composition, that leaves all attention to the beautiful bird!
Excellent reproduction of the plumage, the details are amazing and the colours are back to noting...
Good 3D feeling!
