The Eastern Yellow Robin (Eopsaltira australis) is a common woodland bird of eastern Australia. It is distributed through a variety of eucalypt woodlands, forests and rainforests to scrubby thickets in the semi arid inland. They often perch stationary for many minutes before pouncing on a suitable prey item, usually a small insect.

Hello Chris,
A fine portrait of the Eastern Yellow Robin. The POV, pose, uncluttered BG, sharpness, lighting and colours all contribute to a high quality shot of a species that I took with my compact but only as a record from Queensland.

A very fine portrait of a lovely Robin, Chris.
The ambient light with its subtle effect on the left side of the bird has been used extremely deftly in this snhot.
The shades of colours on the chest, neck and head are also exquisite.

Really nice capture of the Yellow Robin, I've only managed to see this bird twice now in severial years living up here in queensland they are stunning, love the POV, excellent detail in the plumage, and of cause those colours are amazing,
