[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the Balloon Cotton-bush (Asclepias fruticosa)
"The bladdery, softly spined, green fruits of balloon cotton-bush allow its instant recognition wherever it appears. A native of Africa, it is now a common weed in many warmer regions of the world. The inflated balloon-like seed pods split open at maturity to release large quantities of plumed seeds like thistledown (hence the name 'cotton-bush') to be carried away on the breeze."

What a lovely and interesting plant that you have very well captured ! I would like to see it in real... Congratulations Claudia and thanks for sharing.

Nice detail and depth, just a helpful hint, but if you increase highlights about 20 - 30% you may regain or play down the whites in the flower petals. Good shot though.
