[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of the Antarctic Beech trees taken in the ancient Antarctic Beech Tree Forest believed to be several thousand years old. This forest is right near the 'Best of all Lookout' at Springbrook National Park on the border of Queensland and New South Wales.

is this the famous southern beech of patagonia by chance...they are the most resilient breed of tree i know and the lichen which grows on them must be mega prehistoric in their genetics
