Interesting Claudia, and aptly titled!
The carcass of the old tree kind of gives this one a foreboding feeling.
Since the mushroom is so small in this one with so much of the tree trunk interesting but similar, I think a closeup/macro of the mushroom posted as an inset would have made this an awesome shot.
It is still nice...;-) IMO.

Relly interesting POV. The mushroom is too far to attempt an ID, but your photo is about the curious place it choosed to appear not necessarily to present the species.

Claudia,I think that it is lonely but soon will not be, becouse they alveys lives in familis and I think I can see small jung fungus near. Maybe thisone is just the very first.
