[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In temperate climate zones most trees exchange their leafs every autumn and spring. In the tropical zones most trees grow constantly all year round without exchanging anything except some leafs.
In Australia the most common species are eucalypt trees. They change leafs all year round and they are also able to survive bushfires and simply renew their complete bark. This shows a bushfire area that burned everything except the trees approx. 12 months ago. The trees are still alive although mostly with black and burned trunks. The one in the front is one step ahead and has already renewed its bark.
The picture is taken in Deepwater NP north of Bundaberg.
