[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This palm tree grows on South Shepard Beach on the east coast of Hinchinbrook Island.
The island is totally unspoiled and looks like the same for hundred thousands of years - almost no human impact until today. Lets hope this will never change.
West of this beach a huge mangrove area is the habitat of saltwater crocodiles and dugons.

Thomas,

Excellent Composition with the tree in thr foreground. Use of Colour, POV, DOF are all very good. A great pic all round! TFS,
Sheriff

What a beautifully dramatic sky you have got here, Thomas!
The image is a perfect composition with lovely colours and superb depth of view.

Hi Thomas,
Excellent POV with the palm tree as the main subject and some great leadlines for a excellent feel of depth. The CP filter did your photo justice and created some very good colors. Do watch your horizon, it is tilted. It needs a rotation to the left. I also noticed this black spot in the clouds. You might want to clone it out. But in general a excellent photo.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Thomas,

What a wonderful beach! If I could, I will leave the office and go there within a minute! Nice colors, clouds are spectacular, and great pov! TFS,
Michel

Hi Thomas, great shot with a very dramatic sky. Well composed with good colours, detail and POV. TFS.
Dean.

I grew up here, spent many weekends playing on the south end of Hinchy, Hinchinbrook is the largest national Park island in the world, and i too hope it never changes, You have captured her beauty :) Thank you for bringing back some of my childhood memories :)

Hello Thomas
Excellent contrast and deep color thanks to the polarizer. The image is both simple in terms of elements and complex in detail - I like it very much.

What an amazing sky and cloud structure, it really makes an impact on the picture. The tree in the foreground is excellent as well and it looks like it was quite windy when you took this picture.

You have shown the 'power' of a polarising filter very well.
