Hi Chi
Compared with the heron of 2 postings earlier it seems like it forgot something and is now flying back to where it came from. Or maybe it just wanted to take a closer look at you and your Canon.
You have done well with this one too. However, due to the position of the wings I believe you achieved even better exposure/lighting results. The backlight condition created an excellent play of light on the leading and rear edges of the right wing while the legs and neck also benefited from this. Well done on all other technical aspects as well and TFS.

Great inflight. I like the sharpness, detail, DOF, POV, and water drops I see. Nice backlit effect seen, right wing edge also..
A bit tight top right, and the color hue/tint seems a bit off IMHO.

Nice overall exposure on this one Chi, the lighting is well balance showing an even balanced lighting. Excellent POV shows great detail of whole bird as well. :)

Hi Chi!
Great in-flight capture, the head and eye is well seen, the lightly striped BG gives the impression of movement, as does the OOF foremost wing.
What gives it a bit of a strange look is that the other wing is perfectly sharp, which gives it the impression of moving only one wing, or somehow being held in place with one wing.
Beautiful pastel colours, nicely backlit accentuated silhouette, excellent detail. Very well done!

How did I miss this??? Superb in flight shot on this heron. Very beautiful shades of blues in the plumage. Nicely frozen with sharp detail. The quality of light here was excellent. This looks great!
