Scrub Python (Liasis amethystinus) is largest snake in Australia with size 5m, though individuals over 8m are recorded. Relatively slender Morelia with large elongate head, bearing enlarged plate-like head shields. Ground colour pale yellowish- brown, marked with numerous irregular angular blackish bands, blotches and streaks. Those on anterior body may form elongate streaks, while those on lower flanks often coalesce into one or more broken stripes. Dark streak extends from eye down to corner of mouth.

Good to see your great images once again, Chi.
I guess you were busy with something else since I did not see you in the past one month I have rejoined TN after a break of two months.
Your pictures are a class apart as this very beautiful macro of a python's face exhibits.
It is a pleasure to look at your work once again.
TFS and bye.

Hello Chi

Splendid portrait of tis very beautiful python.
And also, judging by the colros of its eye, he's ready to shead his skin...so great timing also :)
I really like the details and textures on its scales.
Very nice lighting and lovely colors and tones.

Excellent close up with very good sharpness, focus and lighting.
The details in the flakes are amazing.
Suitable framing and background.
The opaque eye should surely be a symptom of an imminent skin change.
Nice catch.
Greetings... Ricardo
