Colloquealy known as a"Boomer", a huge red roo stares me down, those forearms are huge, with vicious claws, he stands 2 meters tall and fears nothing.
Wilpena pound is a nature reserve ( national park) and a wonderful place to photograph wildlife, situated about 500km north of Adelaide best time to visit is spring.(August September)
Hand held telephoto with Sony717 pov 50 m, cropped and levels in Corel pp. |

A warm welcome to TN, Peter.
A wonderful first post.
The POV of this boomer is great. Love that head facing forward and the direct eye contact.
The details are sharp, and the exposure is good.
Good notes covering both your subject and your method.
I am looking forward to seeing more photos from you.
Thank you for sharing. : )

Hello Peter,
Welcome to TN with a fine shot of the Red Roo.
The detail is good, so is the comp. and POV.
I find your notes useful and informative.
Having been to E. Australia just over a year ago, I wonder what sort of a place Wilpena pound is. Is it a kind of wildlife park where the animals are enclosed in large enclosures, or is it a nature reserve, where they free to roam where they want?
TFS, regards, Ivan
