[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A long weekend break saw me dash down to Walpole, on the southern coast of Western Australia. The beautiful Walpole Inlet is home to many waterbirds, including my favourite of all birds, the pelican. I waited a good half hour to capture this shot - more to follow!
From a RAW image, cropped and resized.

I agree. The pelican is an interesting bird to watch and photograph. I just saw my first ones in December as they were migrating through and stopped along the river to fish.
You did a great job to freeze the movement. Nice exposure and detail. I am thinking that, if possible, I would leave more sky on left side so bird was not in center.
I am wondering how fast was shutter speed?

nice action capture. could use some sharpening in my opinion.
