I'm not a fan of tripods either, but I like the results they give. I'll have to break down and buy on yet after seeing the dramatic sunset. The clouds are so interesting and I love how it looks like two completely different and separate layers of them. The blue sky behind them is a nice contrast. The water seems to glow, maybe just a touch too much but what a view! Excellent sunset, I never tire of seeing them.

Hi Janice,
AWSOME! you know how much I like these types of shots since I post so many myself. This one is rocks! I gotta get back to the beach. I shoot all my landscape shots off a tripod. Besides being rock steady, it allows me to slow down take my time and think about the shot more.
You nailed this one.

Hello Janice, you have captured a beautiful moment in nature. That sunset is truly spectacular, I really love the yellow tones in this shot...so different. Composition is perfect and the cloud formation stunning. I have never captured a sky as good as that. This is like one of Mile's masterpieces. 8/10 Very fine work.

Hi Janice,
This is a lovely sunset and you perfectly played with the light and the shadows.
In my opinion, you would have get a even stronger shot if something (in addition to the small waves) was included in the foreground.
The sky is wonderful, with golden colors and deep shadows.

Great shot, Janice. Next time take me with you, pretty please?

What makes it work for me are the lines that sort of lead you into the picture and right to the setting sun: the dark coastline on the left and the waves on the right. The rocks sticking out of the water break the foreground in a pleasant way. And did I mention the sun and the clouds with their variety of colors? Sublime!

Great sunset. The composition is great with the silhouetted land curving into the frame on the left and a great golden color.
