| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| These little birds feed on insects and though they appear friendly by flitting round you they are catching insects which you have disturbed. they are dificult to photograph as they are usually found deep in the forest and seldom keep still. I used a Minolta x500 with a Vivitar 80 200 lens. |

Welcome to Tn John. The picture is a little on the short side with sharpness. Try a workshop to give the body a little more sharpness. Otherwise very nice. Nice glint in the eye
Points tomorrow
Hi John. You beat me to it.I was going to post a fantail soon.I don't know about 'usually found deep in the forest'...the little buggers are everywhere. But you're right on the second count. They NEVER sit still, even for a second.Probably the hardest thing in the world to shoot,I'd say.
If you'd like to add to your notes...zoological name is Rhipidura fuliginosa, and the Maori name is Piwakawaka.
By the way...welcome to TN.Good to see more Kiwi stuff here. Steve.

Welcome here to TN. Even though the sharpness is not 100%, I like it.
Thanks for posting and I hope to see lots more of your work.
Hi John
Welcome to TN. Nice shot albeit a bit soft. You were luck to get this. They move so fast. I had one in sight yesterday, ready to hit the button, but then gone!
