Hi Janice!

Very colorfull flower and ascetic wasp. I can't see Sqare and Compassess so I'm not sure it is real mason :-) [this is word play only understable in Polish my friend :-) In Polish member of Freemasonry is called Mason].

Few days with rain, but I hope there will be sun again!

Hello Janice,
This is actually a fly that mimics a wasp: you can tell by the antennae and the eyes and that it has only one pair of wings instead of two.
It's a fine macro froma an excellent POV and well composed on the rose.
I shall not be posting for a while but I shall often look in to give the odd critique.

Excellent capture of this Fly that stands out very clearly against the petals of the rose.
A very nice composition. I've captured similar flies here but can't find the ID for them!

Going by the shape of its eyes, I would perhaps consider this as a fly rather than a wasp, Janice.
Anyway, I don't claim to be an expert, so ignore my surmise if you get your ID right.
All the same, it is a very nice capture. I particularly like the layers of colours and contrasts on the petals on the flower.
