Hello Janice
Your place seems like a dream place to be. Reading your note about how safe it is, and looking at the serenity of your image it can only be bliss to stay so close to such beauty. The various layers of gold captured of this sunrise are just delightful, and really beautiful. It makes me home-sick and I am home. It must be wonderful to wake up to such a glorious sight and I envy you experiencing such magnificence for 20 years. Thanks for sharing your home and your haven with us. I repeat: "It is surely a dream place to be."

Couldn't see any beach here Janice, but this is a fine dawn scene with characteristic warm colours, that lone bird adding a certain amount of dynamism to an otherwise static seascape. TFS indeed!

Nice work Janice, I like the golden tones throughout.
The vertical comp works well for this.
And that gull bottom left adds something..
Can't quite put my finger on it though..One of those "intangibles" ;-}

A beautiful sunrise. you can split your photo in tree different parts. The lower and higher part, and as BG the darker part (hils and so on) Beautiful. When your eyes from below through the center to let go, go top of light to dark and back, very special. I suppose a very unique photo. My first impression was Oh, oh to much noise in the middle section, but thats no way my friend.

Hi Janice

While it is true that God the Creator gave us many lovely things to behold, to cherish and to enjoy on this beautiful planet of ours, but there probably are few things as wonderful as the rich, warm and spectacular colours of a magnificent sunset, especially over the ocean. Now add a little gull in flight to this scenario and you have an image to treat the visual senses. What a study in orange and black? I just love it.
