Hello Bob,
Quite a veiw towards the south from top of Lion Rock!
Very good clarity, natural colour and details on the whole picture
must be summer time to see so many people on the beach!

They do have some lovely beaches there and it looks like the water is warm also. The colors look very natural.

Amazing to see the scaling here, as the beach turns out to be much larger than it appears in the thumbnail!

Wonderful view with nice detail, color, and exposure..
I even see some surfboards there in the water. Reminds me of the first time I tried to surf. I chose to go out when the surf was a bit rough for a beginner..Needless to say, it was all I could do to get back on dry land, and in one piece ;-}}

Weer terug naar je super vakantie? Groot gelijk, het lijkt me ook wel het land van m'n dromen.
Leuk dat je mensen in de foto hebt. Het verstoord het natuur beeld niet, maar geeft wel perfect de grote weer.

What a lovely view of this long beach with a beautiful surf coming in. Beautiful cliffs in the distance too. Lovely colours and very well composed. Wish I was there!

Hi Bob

This is a lovely place which you show us here!
I really like the high POV you shot this from - the view point here must great for landscapes and panoramas, too...not to mention some nice sunsets (taking into consideration that these cliffs are facing west).
I like this one better than the "Piha Beach North" because of the rock formations here - that isolated cliff on the right here is so very photogenic :)
The details in your image are very good and clear, the DOF is excellent and the composition is nice.
However, i do feel it's a bit bright - especially in the sky area - so i tried a little workshop...i hope you don't mind.
Anyway, nice work!

Prachtig stukje strand, geen wonder dat het hier zo druk is.
Mooie compositie met het zicht op de rotsen. De witte golven en de mooie wolkenpartij maken het plaatje compleet.

Good shot of PIHA Bob, taken from the LION.
The water looks quite calm today - just a few mild rollers coming ashore. And lotsa people swimming too.
Did you swim there? I haven't swum at Piha for about 25 years and I don't think I ever will again. But we usually take our foreign visitors there to look see.

Wow, you visited New Zealand, you're solucky, it's my dream to go there some day ! This picture looks really wonderful, with the cliffs, the rocks, the forest and the beach of back sand. You have composed the picture very nicely, and I also like the natural colors and the great depth of the picture. Very well done !
