What fantastic scenery you have in New Zealand. This is so simple and so beautiful. I love the composition with just a touch of the sea rolling into the shore. The sand, the cliff, the sky are all wonderful.

I like the expanse of sand leading like a arrow deep into the scene. Color saturation is really good. The greens look very natural. Nice work.

Super use of perspective to bring in the draw to the horizon..It is more than likely the way you see things..and are able to compose them in tech frame so well..Very nice image and colors natural!

The colours are vibrent and rich and you have exposed this perfectly by keeping the detail in the sky while not under-exposing the land.

The large sandy beach with this particular shape makes a good lead-in to the cliffs in the back!
Impressive to see how the lush vegetation covers the rock...

Hi Tony,
A fine capture of this landscape. BTW does S2IS gives you freedom to change you shutterspeed? If it does then a little less shutterspeed i.e. say 1/20 or 1/10 would have made the sky look more dramatic? This is only my thought as you are an expert in landscapes you can help me out. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Thanks to show me the difference from Karekare beach between my visit in march 2005 and yours in december last year. I have my photograph there beside obliged and the large difference is nevertheless the beach. I had a very flat beach. And at this moment is the beach has been a lot raised. But your photo has more clarity, more natural colors. And your POV is near by the sea. My POV were at the hillocks. Thats an another difference. Anyway I'm a bit jealous on your photo. Hi Tony,

This one works really well, with the slight rise in the sand taking the eve through the image and adding interest across the foreground. The land mass stands out really well to give a focal point. A very clever image.

This is one of those places that once I arrived, I'd never want to leave. Tony, this is a stunning shot - a piece of paradise, and maybe the only one you'd be allowed to return home with! This would make a great print!
