When I look to this photo then this is The Stonage. I was in an another geothermal park in Rotorua. Wai O Tapu. Also very, very interesting place to be there. And it's stinks all over the place. Nice capture. Regards and TFS Bob

Fascinating to see the amount of steam here -- which only begins to give an indication of the high temperature, I think!

Oh... This is such a special place Janice. I have the impression of being on another planet! Your country always amazed me with its many particularities... This is a very interesting capture of an unusual place from me. I like the texture created by this smoke (or steam) and this beautiful composition and interesting notes. I don't know about you Janice,but I always feel a little nervous walking around these volcanic hot spots.
I always wonder how people can comfortably live there knowing whats underneath them.

Janice I remember visiting stinky Rotorua! The first few hours I could not stand the smell there! By the fourth hour in the city I could not smell the oder anymore.

Great photo! It brings back pleasant memories!

NZ seems to have much in common with Iceland!! Lots of geothermal heating! I thought they only existed on south island, but I understand I have to go back and see more of your country than Auckland and the kiwibirds at zoo. Very good and sharp photo!
