A flying oystercatcher.

As you all know, the most difficult thing about oystercatchers is that they fly away as soon as you get too close to them.
So, here's an oystercatcher caught in action!

I quite like the unusual shape of this guy's body as he takes off.

I absolutely love birds in this position. You got an excellent capture here, very dynamic and such a an amazing bird.

It is a rare capture indeed, Michel: an oystercatcher in flight.
I really like the pose of the bird with the wings forward and together.
I also like the sharpness in the head combined with the blurred wings indicating movement. The color contrast, as with all oystercatchers, is wonderful. Very cool shot. TFS. : )
