Hi Janice!
Very good portrait. White peacock looks better than colorfull one :-) Its tail's feathers look very 'industrial' - great composition of shapes. Vigilant face is also very nice. Very colorfull note also :-) Great work my friend!
Hello Janice,
She looks like Julia Roberts in runaway bride:).I liked POV,details, curious look and composition a lot.
Have a great day!TFS....:-)

Hi Janice,
I've never seen one before, it looks like somebody sprayed a normal Peacock with liquid nitrogen .. Nicely framed shot and very interesting note, a great post.

Wow ! What a smart peacock that you have well captured ! I never see in real a white. But I think I would prefer the colored species... Instructive complementary note also. Congratulations Janice and thanks for sharing.

Hello Janice,
I see this white peafowl in some zoos, and are curious to see. For this coloration, a very nicer picture; is not overexposed and has good details; composition is great.

Hi Janice,
Amazing! I have never observed one of these in person. A difficut exposure with all that white. A great job. Great color and detail shown in the plumage. Nice frame filling composition.

I've never seen a white one of these beautiful birds. I love the "Julia Roberts" reference, it made me laugh. The pure white feathers must have been very hard to capture, you've done so well though Janice, and your note as usual is very informative. Excellent work, TFS.

What a bother to be white and unable to keep oneself tidy!
We have plenty pea-cocks/pea-hens in India, but this one is quite new to me, Janice.
Very well presented and documented.

Hi Janice
What an excellent capture of this lovely bird. I can understand the problems you must have experienced in shooting it. The cameras auto focus sensors works by reading contrast in the subject. The difficulty for you was in the fact that if you pointed it to the white, the camera would have gone crazy focusing in and out. If you pointed it to the darker (dirtier) areas the white would have burnt out. So this is a great, well balanced result.
The details are ever so sharp in the facial area. The composition is stunning, the BG is superb with those amazing patterns created by the OOF tail feathers, and the exposure was brilliantly managed.
Very well done and TFS.

I love it Janice! He looks like he could be used in a wedding. I find White, and red for some reason hard to photograph. A+ Janice :)

I think you hit the nail on the head. Shooting white birds in sunlight can be very difficult. I think the exposure is perfect and you couldn't have done better with the composition. Very nice shot.

i really like the focus on the face and the tailfeathers as
a blurred white bg.

Hello Janice,
Your picture caught my eyes and I admire it. It seems to me normal to have the tail of the bird a bit out of focus, while having the head in focus.
About the tail: my opinion as a birder is this large tail like a fan, proudly displayed by your subject, makes it a male, not a female.
Regards,
Florin
