In the thermal wonderland Wai-O-Tapu by Rotorua you can find Lake Ngakoro. It is a 12 ha, green acid lake filling one of the oldest hydrothermal eruption craters in the area. At 20 m deep with a temperature of 25° C it marks the southern boundary of the Thermal Wonderland. Steam rising on the left of the lake indicates the area is still thermally active. Hi Bob,
Mooi (water)landschap heb je hier gemaakt. De prachtige wolkenpartij neemt het oog helemaal naar achter op het water.
Mooie kleuren en heel apart dat groene water.

A nice capture of this green acid lake, although I think the horizon is tilted down on the left a bit.
I remember visiting this fascinating place many years ago with my schools geography field trip.
(You spelled the name right in your notes,but in the title there's an extra R)

Wat een prachtig landschap heb je hier gefotografeerd. Die wolkenlucht en de kleuren zijn heel mooi. Je standpunt geeft een gevoel van diepte en dat maakt het nog mooier.

Hoi Bob,
Pracht foto zeg, waar de wolken partij de foto een prachtige diepte geeft. De kleur van het meer, en dan vooral in contrast met de lucht is erg bijzonder. Ik heb dit een keer in het echt gezien tijdens mijn vakantie op de Azoren. Daar was een meer dat twee kleuren had.
Ik ben erg onder de indruk van het vergezicht. De helderheid is prachtig.

Great shot, interesting notes on how this lake came to be. I can't say that I've ever seen a "green acid" lake before today :)
The green of the water contrasts this beautiful blue clouded sky well.
A well detailed, crisp, and clear image..
