Hi Tony
Thanks for sharing this unique looking butteryfly today. He has very interesting colours and large wings. I like the way the light is shining through his wings it brings out nice details.

Hello Tony. This is just superb. Shot from the low angle with the head so tact sharp in focus. The backlighting creates translucency of the full spreading wings is brilliant. I like it and very well framed subject. Best regards. Jusni

The lime green really sets off the butterfly...colours are neither complimentary, nor contrasting nor clashing...and that means...? The true answer is more philosphical but anything in this genre of colour offsets a complete framed focal point...so you win so by creation.

Hi Tony.
It is so difficult scene and you managed with it very well. POV is amazing, details of the very nice butterfly are excellent. Neutral BG is so suitable for subject. Only cropping is not the best. However, this s nature photography with its pleasures and difficulties. Compliments and kind regards, my dear friend.

Hello Tony,
Never seen this Papilionid, P. rumanzovia before, which makes this interesting for me but what I specially like is the POV from beneath and the focusing on the body and head to achieve great sharpness.
TFS this beauty,
Ivan

Hi Tony,
An amazing pov making this a very unusal butterfly shot. The butterfly too has a very different look. I love the shape and the colors. Amazing details of the head and body. Lucky you for finding the butterfly house.

Hi Tony. Not an easy one to take facing the light ,But its a good POV showing the under side. Butterflies tend to live a long time inside so they get a bit old looking around the wings. TFS.

Hello my dear friend Tony,
your macro-shots are great as much as your landscapes. I'd like to more macro from your beautiful countries. This species not present here, but there are other species of the genus Papilio. e.g. P. machaon, P. alexanor. This species has different colors, but it is colorful as much as others. You captured it with a different, but nice POV. focus and sharpness great. Thanks for sharing. best regards

Hi Tony.
Different composition you give us taken from below of the light coming through the wings, shows all the veins in the wings, great shot. Point of focus on the body is great, though with a smaller F/stop it would have been even better to have the head & eye in focus also, but thats being picky and as always its individual preference.
With a canon powershot do you have the option to alter the F/stop? maybe not, so you have done well with F/2.7.
Kathleen.

Hello Tony,
Lovely details on the head and the wings ... well, they have the appearance of tissue paper when it is back lit! Very difficult conditions but giving us an excellent impression of these amazing wings.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Another fantastic butterfly image from you and you have captured it in a fine perspective. Though the image is a bit soft it still looks fabulous with the wing details and lighting effects. Thanks for sharing this fine image.

Nice angle and details on this beauty, Tony. I can't imagine a better job with a P&S. (If you were shooting full DSLR I would suggest a smaller aperature to get a bit more DoF here.) But given what you were working with, very nicely done.

Something different than Your usual postings... But great. POV is even fantastic, and what I like the most is the well chosen focus (on the leaf, not on the butterfly), with which You managed to avoid disturbing oof parts in the foreground. Difficult light conditions, but perfectly chosen exposure time - no OE on the wings. Background's blurred the best way. The only negative point by my opinion is the narrow cropping on the bottom. Otherwise a top notch image.
Respectful regards, László

Hello Tony
it is truly a beautiful image of nature with very rich colouration: contrast of butterfly particulars is excellent on wings design.
Good pose of the Copper on the plant with great sharpness and good details on a very soft background.
