[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot is taken from the shore of Lake Waikaremoana on New Zealand's North Island. I got up before dawn to photograph the sunrise over the lake to find that I wasn't the first up. The fisherman, called Mark from South African via Wellington, had already caught one large brown trout. As the sun rose, the heat caused some rapid evaporation from the lake surface, which then very quickly condensed in the cold air, giving this misty effect, which I found very atmospheric. I believe the sillouette of mark with the bend in his rod and glint of sun from his line add to the movement within the shot.

That's also nature, very nicely presented, with a touch of early morning magic in the BG. Action is VERY well caught, the fishing rod and the nylon yarn creating the motion. Very good shot, John.

Fantastic shot.
I love the silhouette of the fisherman.
The mist on the lake gives your shot a very nice feel and mood.
The reflections on the water are great.

Very nice photo, maybe the man is a little bit to dark, now it looks the man was cut out of the photo with a scissors.

Wonderful capture Johnnymag. The scene showing the rising mist shining in the sun, and the silhouette of the fisherman with his rod and line moving over the waters, is just superb! Very well shown, thank you.
