Hello Sue!
I'm really impressed by your photo! Nice to see this pretty Tuatara ;-)
And welcome on TN!
Hello Sue
Welcome to TN. Aren't Tuatara amazing. This is a nice shot although it looks a little soft. Was this taken through glass? The shot could use a bit of sturation in my opinion, but never the less, it is a great image. Well done. Thanks.
Hi Sue.
I think a little cropping, saturation and sharpening could all enhance this shot,so I've done a wee workshop to show you what I mean.
If you need info to add to your shot, just do a google search.Remember to quote your sources (I always forget myself)
Oh...and welcome to TrekNature :)
There seams a mismatch of plants so I assume the Tuatara is in a display case hence the soft focus. Still a nice photo I like the way the Tuatara blends in with the log.

Good capture Sue of this Tuatara. Steve's Wkshop is good and you will learn how to manipulate photos as you go on. IrfanView.com is good and it is a free download, I use it sometimes too.
The shot is good, as we don't get to see it around here! So thank you for sharing.
Here's my points!!

Colors are ok for me, but I think that a little bit more contrast would have brought light or brilliance to the pic.
Apart from this detail, this is a very rare view. Funny how Mother Nature made this animal almost in the same color than its environment.
Thank you for sharing it with us, Sue.
What a interesting creature, so nicely captured in this pose. I've never seen or heard of this little guy, now I'll have to read more about him, thank you for sharing, well done.
