[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this common garden snail who had obviously eaten his fill. He was very reluctant to come out for the camera. You can see him taking a wee peek from under his shell.

It was too dark to rely on natural light so I had to use the flash. As I was so close the lens causes a shadow so I had to use my mark II paper light deflector. I used both a blue and white piece of paper. The blue had the better results, not as harsh. This shot is using the blue.

I used paintshop to crop, frame and resize the image.

Hi Sue, good shot of the common garden snail. It is quite intriging to see them opening up. I can't say I've seen many of these around home lately. Good macro, and results. Well done.
